CEF is a worldwide organization with ministry in almost every country of the world reaching more than 18 million children each year. CEF of Wisconsin Inc.® Western Wisconsin Chapter is chartered in a six county area: La Crosse, Vernon, Jackson, Trempealeau, Monroe, and Buffalo Counties. The scope of the ministry reaches into Juneau, Crawford and southeastern Minnesota counties as well. Over 1,000 children are reached each year.

Reaching Children. 85% of believers come to Christ before the age of 14. Our goal is to share the message of Jesus with children who are unlikely to ever enter a church, by going to where they are in schools, community centers and neighborhoods. We follow our Lord's command to "go" whether it is to our own city, our county, our state, or our world. Every time we teach, whatever our outreach, we share the Gospel. Every child, every nation, every day, is our vision.

Establishing children in Bible-believing churches. Partnering churches encourage children and their families who have been impacted through neighborhood outreach to become part of the local church where they can continue growing on a regular basis. In this way, CEF serves the church and assists in the goal of church growth. Every child, every nation, every day.

Training Christians in ministry to children. CEF's greatest need is for those who will see the fields which are "white unto harvest" and become involved in this outreach to children of the world. Every child, every nation, every day.

Discipling Children. Children must be established (discipled) in their Christian lives through the Word of God. They need to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." Every time we teach, whatever our outreach, we strive to disciple the children in their walk with the Lord. Our curriculum recognizes that we are always teaching two kinds of children, those who know Jesus and those who don't. We build into each session the challenge for the saved child to spend personal time with God every day. Every child, every nation, every day.

The Children's Ministries Institute (CMI) provides a thorough foundation and ongoing education for those involved at every level of children's ministry. The popular Teaching Children Effectively courses are offered at CMI and at various locations throughout the country. CMI's central campus is west of St. Louis in Warrenton, Missouri and offers extension sites around the world.
